In a market where few genuine innovations can be found, Dormer continues to stand out from the crowd by introducing products which offer very real advances in cutting tool technology and deliver tangible benefits to their customers.

One such example which will be unveiled to the North American market at IMTS 08 is the new Solid Carbide Drill for Composite Materials. Developed in conjunction with leading universities, research establishments and aerospace companies, a worldwide patent is currently pending.

Several other new additions to Dormers’ already extensive solid carbide drilling programme will be showcased at IMTS.

These include:
the R563 (5xD) and R567 (3xD) CDX-Inox drills offer excellent performance and tool life when drilling in stainless steels and exotic materials

the R570 CDX-DH drill - specifically developed to overcome problems associated with deep hole drilling

the MP-X range of multi-application solid carbide drills, designed to operate at high speeds & feeds while maintaining excellent hole quality in a wide range of materials.

IMTS will also see the launch of the latest phase of Dormers’ high performance color-ring-coded DIN/ANSI material
