The U.S. Aerospace Industry Gets an Introduction to Italian Innovation
Chicago – November 2007. The week of November 5th 2007 signaled the launch of a joint initiative between the Italian Trade Commission-Chicago Office and UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE (www.ucimu.it) to introduce the U.S. Aerospace
industry to Italian machine tool manufacturers.
In light of the record orders by Boeing for its 787 Dreamliners and popular models 737, 777, etc., the Italian Trade Commission, together with UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, organized a delegation of some of Italy’s premier machine tool manufacturers to visit Boeing and its highly rated First Tier suppliers in the Pugnet Sound area around Seattle, Washington.
Noted in the discussions with Boeing and its First Tier Suppliers was their appreciation to meet face-to-face with the manufacturers to learn how Italian companies are able to offer highly customized and innovated machinery and technology solutions for their needs.
The Italian delegation, accompanied by representatives of both the Italian Trade Commission (Rome and Chicago Offices) and UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, was comprised of representatives from the following companies:
